Dr. Katrina Wood presented her talk “When Suicide Comes Out of the Blue” at the Los Angeles County Psychological Association’s 2020 convention.
Wood’s presentation identifies how the development of hidden cumulative trauma states, manifesting prereflectively within family systems, often remains misdiagnosed and untreated. As a result, the unintended consequences may lead to the potential emergence of suicidal ideation or completion of the act of suicide.
